Did you know that?
Two printing equipment of the same model, may be communicating different number of printed pages.
Depending on the manufacturer, the number of printed pages counters can vary significantly:
- The pages counter is usually set by the equipment installer.
- On many printers, the counters can be configured even by the printer’s own user.
- The counters can be deleted, manually or in maintenance interventions and, if they are not restored immediately, information will be lost.
Consequences: Depending on the page counter you choose to invoice in “cost per copy” contracts, it may not reflect the actual cost per printed page.
